It isn’t a template.
It is the house’s signature, refined for you.
The House Mark
The House Mark is House Over Yonder's signature brand foundation. Inspired by the historic marks once used by families and makers, the House Mark sits somewhere between a logo and a full brand identity—more thoughtful than a standalone mark, more focused than a comprehensive branding engagement.
Each mark is developed within one of the house's four signature directions before being intentionally refined through typography, composition, and detail to create something that feels personal, enduring, and entirely your own.
Each House Mark is original, exclusive, and designed to become a lasting part of the business it represents.
Limited client openings each month to ensure thoughtful, high-quality work.
A House Mark may be a good fit if...
You have a clear direction for your business.
You need a professional identity to grow into.
You appreciate thoughtful, timeless design.
You don't need extensive strategy or naming.
The full House may be better if...
You're starting from scratch.
You're repositioning an existing business.
You need messaging, voice, or broader brand strategy.
You're looking for a more collaborative, in-depth process.
The House’s Signature Styles
Over time, I've found myself returning to four thoughtful directions. They aren't rigid templates or predefined styles, but familiar starting points that help shape the character of an identity.
Most people find themselves naturally drawn to one style over another. If you're unsure, we'll figure it out together.
Heirloom
For businesses with a deep sense of history, tradition, and permanence. Heirloom marks draw from classic typography, traditional forms, and enduring details. They're designed to feel familiar—not because they've been seen before, but because they seem as though they've always belonged.
Provisioner
Honest, capable, and thoughtfully made. Provisioner marks are inspired by workshops, general stores, makers, and tradespeople who take pride in doing good work. They balance warmth with utility and are well suited to businesses built on craft and service.
Field
Grounded in land, place, and stewardship. Field marks take their cues from farms, ranches, orchards, and wide-open spaces. They favor simple forms, strong typography, and a sense of quiet confidence that feels as though it could weather generations.
Hearth
Welcoming, familiar, and made for gathering. Hearth marks are shaped by hospitality and the comforts of home. Softer in tone but no less timeless, they suit businesses that invite people in, care for others, or create spaces where community naturally forms.
